How to Revive Downed Teammates in Stonewards

You can revive a downed teammate at the campfire in Stonewards. The feature was announced by Banana Tiger Studio in Devblog #05 before Early Access and is the confirmed resurrection method in the current build.

Where Does Reviving Happen?

Resurrection takes place at the campfire. The developer specifically stated, “It is now possible to resurrect a teammate at the campfire.” This means there is no mid-field revive during a wave. A fallen dwarf must be brought back through the campfire system, likely between waves or during a safe window at the hub.

How to Revive a Teammate

The exact button or resource cost has not been published by the developer. The confirmed fact is that the campfire is the revive point. Based on similar co-op games, the process is usually:

1. Finish or escape the current wave.
2. Move the downed player close to the campfire, or have a surviving player interact with the campfire.
3. Spend a small amount of resources or wait through a short animation.
4. The revived player returns with partial or full health.

If a specific resource cost exists, it is not yet confirmed. We mark that detail as not yet confirmed and will update once the developer or community documents it.

What the Patch Notes Add

Two revive details have since come from official patch notes rather than gameplay footage:

• Revive Beds are named in the official notes. 0.2.2 fixed the Game Over screen appearing while a downed player was already being revived on a Revive Bed — a run in the middle of a revive no longer ends out from under it.
• A disconnect mid-revive no longer breaks the bed. 0.1.8 fixed a case where a player disconnecting while being revived on a Bed left that Bed permanently unusable for the rest of the run.

Revive Limits

There is no official word on whether revives are unlimited or capped per run. Until Banana Tiger Studio clarifies, assume revives are limited by whatever resources or cooldown the campfire requires.

What to Do When a Teammate Falls

• Do not abandon the walls to revive during a wave unless the campfire is nearby and safe.
• Clear the area first if monsters are attacking the revive point.
• If the whole team is down, the mission ends.

From Community Gameplay

• Reviving a teammate requires carrying their body to the campfire and dropping it on the rug or mat there. The in-game prompts read “Carry dead player” and “Drop dead player on the rug” (The Boys are Dwarves, 11:04; 12:03).
• One Spanish-language stream confirmed the campfire as the revive point by placing a downed player on the fire mat and watching them stand back up (03:11; 06:23).
• Downed players do not disappear; they leave an interactive body whose position can matter. Developers patched out an interaction where dead players and companions could hold gates open, so treat the body as a physical object (The Boys are Dwarves, 06:11; 06:33).
• Revived players appear to come back with health restored. One player asked if a revive returns full health, and later revives brought fighters back into the wave at usable HP (The Boys are Dwarves, 16:28; 47:46).
• The campfire also heals living players over time, so gathering near it between waves can top off the team before the next revive attempt (The Boys are Dwarves, 21:19; 26:49).
